Doing everything you can — but still not seeing real change?
You're not alone.
If you're a school leader navigating complex student needs, rising staff burnout, or the pressure to deliver wellbeing outcomes with limited time and support — you're likely exhausted by “solutions” that sound good on paper but fall flat in practice.
You’ve tried one-off PDs, behaviour charts, and wellbeing programs that promise change but rarely move beyond the staffroom whiteboard.
You want something real. Something that fits your school.
Something that actually works — without adding to your staff’s emotional load.
About Me
Hi, I'm Dr Meg Steele, the director of Creative School Support. After over two decades working in education as a music therapist and teacher, a masters in inclusive education and a PhD exploring professional learning for classroom wellbeing, Creative School Support was born from a deep understanding of the real challenges schools face today. I've lived the pressures of teaching and leadership, witnessed burnout, under-resourcing, and the frustration of short-term solutions that don’t stick.
Creative School Support exists to change that. We don’t offer cookie-cutter workshops or generic programs; instead, we embed ourselves in schools through professional learning that is tailored, flexible, and anchored in both research and real-world practice. We believe that when teachers are truly supported — not just with ideas, but with practical tools and ongoing care — whole school communities become places where everyone thrives.
Our work is a partnership, centred in care and driven by the belief that wellbeing and inclusion are the foundation for impactful schools.

Let’s reimagine what support can look like.
At Creative School Support, consultation isn’t just a meeting or a policy tweak — it’s a chance to take a breath, reflect on what’s really happening, and co-design support that’s tailored, embedded, and grounded in the relational realities of your school.
Whether you're:
-
Feeling overwhelmed by behaviour plans that don’t stick
-
Supporting a team on the edge of burnout
-
Wanting to embed inclusion meaningfully, not just meet mandates
-
Curious about how music can support classroom wellbeing in ways that go beyond performance...
We’ll partner with you to map out what’s working, what’s not, and what’s next.
Music is more than something for performance.
It’s a relational, embodied, and culturally responsive way to connect, co-regulate, and empower children — especially those who don’t thrive in conventional classroom structures.
Backed by research, this approach is:
-
Evidence-informed
-
Context-sensitive
-
Grounded in what actually works for educators under pressure

Why music? Why this? Why now?
This if for you if...
-
You're leading a school with high complexity and limited time
-
You’ve tried short-term fixes that haven’t stuck
-
You believe inclusion and wellbeing should centre both students and staff
-
You’re ready for something embedded, relational, and flexible
What to expect:
Your first consultation session is a 60–90 minute reflective conversation where we’ll:
-
Explore the pressures your school is facing
-
Clarify goals, barriers, and existing strengths
-
I'll get the chance to tour your school community and feel what it's like from the inside
-
Co-design a tailored support map — this may include mentoring, staff training, or student-focused work (or none of the above — you won’t get a sales pitch, you’ll get clarity)
Optional follow-ups are available for ongoing planning, reflection, or support coordination.
