About

Hi! I'm Dr Meg Steele, the Director of Creative School Support. I'm a VIT registered teacher with a masters in inclusive education, and a registered music therapist with a PhD exploring a music for classroom wellbeing teacher professional learning program. I have over 20 years experience working the education sector - as a music therapist, teacher and teacher mentor. I've worked in mainstream, special education and early childhood settings. I have taught inclusive and arts-based educational approaches to pre-service teachers and supported Master of Music Therapy students to developing their professional practices.

I have spent many years in the classroom striving to promote the learning and wellbeing of my students in creative ways! While I LOVE being in schools, I too have struggled with the conflicting pressures of the modern education system. I’ve worked hard to prevent burnout in my own career, and am passionate about supporting teachers and other educators to manage their own wellbeing needs as they work to create inclusive and flourishing schools.
