Overview of Music for Wellbeing Professional Learning Workshop
Are you concerned about student mental health and wellbeing? Are you finding it difficult to sustain your energy to work in schools? Do you want ideas to foster belonging, support regulation and maximise learning? If so, then this workshop is for you!
This professional learning workshop aims to enhance teachers' and other school staff members' abilities to foster safe and supportive classroom environments through the intentional use of music. Participants will learn theory, try out music making activities, and plan for applying new ideas back into their own context. Importantly, the strategies used to foster wellbeing are designed to be simple and accessible for everyone, and support staff as much as student wellbeing. You don't have to be a music teacher, play an instrument or even identify as musical to come along and learn at this workshop!
